Digital Forensics Analyst

Conduct investigations on computer-based crimes establishing documentary or physical evidence, such as digital media and logs associated with cyber intrusion incidents. Analyze digital evidence and investigate computer security incidents to derive information in support of system and network vulnerability mitigation. Preserve and present computer-related evidence in support of criminal, fraud, counterintelligence, or law enforcement investigations.

AI will significantly impact Digital Forensics by automating initial data triage, enhancing pattern recognition in vast datasets, and speeding up the analysis of malware and intrusion techniques. However, it will also present new challenges, as forensic analysts will need to investigate AI-driven attacks and differentiate between human and AI-generated evidence. This will shift the role towards more complex analytical tasks and AI tool management.
