Driver/Sales Worker

Drive truck or other vehicle over established routes or within an established territory and sell or deliver goods, such as food products, including restaurant take-out items, or pick up or deliver items such as commercial laundry. May also take orders, collect payment, or stock merchandise at point of delivery.

AI will likely enhance the efficiency of Driver/Sales Workers through optimized routing, predictive inventory management, and personalized sales recommendations, making their trips more productive. This shift will likely refocus their role more on complex customer interactions, relationship building, and problem-solving, rather than solely on driving and basic order fulfillment. While some driving aspects may see increased automation, the human element of sales and service will remain critical, transforming the job rather than eliminating it within 5-10 years.
