First-Line Supervisors of Production and Operating Worker

Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers, such as inspectors, precision workers, machine setters and operators, assemblers, fabricators, and plant and system operators. Excludes team or work leaders.

AI will automate routine tasks like scheduling and data analysis, allowing supervisors to focus on strategic planning and complex problem-solving. They will need to manage AI-driven systems, interpret advanced analytics, and train staff on new technologies. The role will shift towards greater emphasis on critical thinking and adaptability in a more automated environment.
