Photonics Technician

Build, install, test, or maintain optical or fiber optic equipment, such as lasers, lenses, or mirrors, using spectrometers, interferometers, or related equipment.

AI will enhance the precision and automation of testing and diagnostic processes for photonic equipment. Technicians will increasingly utilize AI-powered tools for predictive maintenance and complex fault analysis, shifting their focus towards overseeing automated systems and interpreting sophisticated data outputs. This will require adapting to new diagnostic software and potentially reduce manual intervention in routine checks.
