Conducting

Your week kicks off with Music Theory, analyzing complex harmonies. Later, in Score Analysis, you grapple with a challenging symphonic score, trying to internalize its structure. You spend an hour in a practice room, baton in hand, visualizing a full orchestra responding to your gestures, but a particular tricky meter change keeps tripping you up. During lunch, you chat with friends about the upcoming student ensemble concert. Your professor, seeing your frustration with the score, suggests focusing on rhythmic clarity first before delving into harmonic layers. It's a demanding start, but the music pulls you forward.
