Demand for qualified perfusionists is stable, driven by the increasing complexity of surgical procedures and an aging population requiring cardiac care.
Impact of AI on this Study
AI could enhance perfusion by providing predictive analytics for patient responses during bypass, optimizing machine parameters, and assisting in training simulations for complex scenarios. However, the critical real-time decision-making and manual dexterity required for operating life-support equipment will likely remain human-led.
