Computer User Support Specialist

Provide technical assistance to computer users. Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, via telephone, or electronically. May provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems.

AI tools will increasingly automate routine support tasks like password resets and basic troubleshooting through chatbots and virtual assistants. This will shift the role towards handling more complex, novel, and interpersonal problems that require empathy, critical thinking, and nuanced understanding, making the human element even more crucial.
